Rules and Regulations

ENTRY TO RESORT IS AT OWN RISK

  • Cash only for entrance fees at the gate
  • No beverages of any kind are to be brought in
  • Home-made picnic food is allowed in the picnic areas (NOT in the Restaurant) but no take-away is allowed to be brought in nor any outside caterers
  • No braaing & hubbly (hooka pipe) due to fire restrictions
  • No gazebo’s, camping or tents is allowed on the Grounds
  • No umbrellas allowed to be brought in
  • No animals are allowed
  • No drugs or illegal substances are to be brought in nor bought
  • No underage drinking is allowed
  • No firearms are allowed
  • No cars are allowed to be parked outside parking area (incl. grass areas)
  • Right of Admission Reserved

RESTAURANT

  • The Blue Rock Restaurant can cater for Halaal but does not have a Halaal Certificate. We get some of our meat and stock from a certified Halaal supplier and can prepare that separately.
  • No picnicking is allowed inside the Restaurant.
  • Cake corkage applies if own cake is displayed & eaten inside the Restaurant.

BOOKINGS

  • Bookings & Pre-payments for groups of 10 people or more are required for the restaurant, conferencing, corporate/team-building functions as well as all activities. Irrespective of the size of the group, bookings & pre-payments are always required for skiing lessons and paintball.
  • During opening hours, minimum of 4 skiers / paintball players are required to open up & run the Cable / Paintball (respectively).

  • Sun shades & Picnic spots cannot be pre-booked as we work on a first come, first served basis. We advise arriving early (between 8am – 9am) to ensure that you get your preferred shaded picnic spot. Blue Rock’s VIP shaded areas are located all around the lake – they are stretch tents which are about the size of 4 umbrellas. Depending from group to group on how much shade is preferred, Blue Rock’s Vip Shades should be suitable for group of 15 – 20 people.

ALL ACTIVITIES AT BLUE ROCK

All activities at Blue Rock are at own risk – indemnity form must be completed at ticket sales

WATERSKIING:

  • Instructions from the cable operators, boat drivers or any other Blue Rock workers must be obeyed at all times
  • No age restriction for water skiing as long as the minors’ parents/guardians approve it
  • One must be able to swim
  • No swimming into skiing area is allowed
  • No climbing onto obstacles is allowed
  • Lifejackets must be worn at all times when skiing
  • It is compulsory for children under 15 to wear helmets at all times when skiing
  • Helmets must be worn at all times when going over obstacles (any age)
  • No metal fins are allowed onto the obstacles

PAINTBALL:

  • No age restriction for paintball as long as the minors’ parents/guardians approve it
  • Players must obey instructions from the Marshall at all times
  • Masks must be worn at all times on the field while playing
  • Back & chest protectors can be hired out for paintball
  • It is compulsory for children under 15 to wear back & chest protectors
  • Proper shoes & old cloths are recommended for paintball players
  • Paint from paintballs can be washed out
  • On average, 200 paintballs per person are used for1 hour paintball game
  • Own paintballs are not allowed; they must be bought from Blue Rock
  • Own paintball guns are not allowed

FUFI-SLIDING:

  • Instructions from the Blue Rock workers must be obeyed at all times
  • No age restriction for fufi-sliding as long as the minors’ parents/guardians approve it
  • Helmets & Harnesses must be worn when fufi-sliding
  • Children under 35 kg must fufi-slide with a parent/guardian
  • Weight limit of a person for fufi-slide is at 100kg

ROCK JUMPING:

  • No age restriction for rock-jumping as long as the minors’ parents/guardians approve it
  • Rock jumping is only allowed at marked areas
  • No climbing up the rock walls is allowed
  • One must be able to swim

STAND-UP PADDELING, CANOEING & SWIMMING

  • Life-jackets must be worn at all times while stand-up paddeling and canoeing
  • Stand-up paddeling, canoeing and swimming is only allowed in the designated swimming areas
  • No swimming into skiing area is allowed
  • No climbing onto obstacles is allowed
  • Instructions from the cable operators, boat drivers or any other Blue Rock workers must be obeyed at all times
  • No age restriction for stand-up paddeling, canoeing and swimming as long as the minors’ parents/guardians approve it
  • One must be able to swim
