WATERSPORT
ONE OF THE BEST CABLE SKIING EXPERIENCES IN THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE!

Prepare for a thrilling holiday. We have various exciting options available such as wakeboarding, kneeboarding and waterskiing.

Blue Rock’s Cable Waterski is an environmentally friendly ski-cable on the water, with 5 towers and an over-head pulling system that generally runs at 30km per hour.

The overhead cable system was designed and installed by Rixen Cableways from Germany. It can take up to 10 kneeboarders/waterskiers/wakeboarders at the same time. You may either bring your own equipment or hire it from Blue Rock’s shop.

Cable Water Skiing is a unique way to ski without the use of a motorboat yet with the same feeling and experience. While the boat produces waves that you would use for height when doing tricks, cable riders need to use the tension of the rope when trying out tricks.

SAFETY FIRST

Please note it is compulsory to wear lifejackets.

It is also a strict requirement that you must be able to swim.

It is okay to try cable skiing even if you have never tried it before. You can start with kneeboarding, before proceeding to ski and if you are confident, you can go for the jumps and ramps!

For beginners, there are skilled instructors offering assistance, and advanced riders can show off their skills on the magnificent water obstacles available in the lake.

Cable skiing is safe, clean, quiet, and environmentally friendly.

KNEEBOARDING

Kneeboarding is recommended to everyone as it is a great way to get to know how the cable pulls you around the 5 towers. Particularly loved by children because it is the easiest from all disciplines.

WATERSKIING

With waterskiing, you have your feet strapped in two separate skis, or you can try both feet on a single slalom ski. It is slightly more difficult than kneeboarding, but once you’re up and running, its lots of fun!

ZIP LINE

Blue Rock has a 400 meter long adrenaline-filled fufi-slide ride, something similar to a zip line. You will be flying over the rocks and land in the water close to the jetties!

WAKEBOARDING

This is the most difficult out of all three disciplines but also the most fun and popular. If you can kitesurf, sandboard, snowboard or even skateboard, you will master this quicker than others as you are used to standing sideways on a board.

CANOEING

Canoeing or paddling is an excellent way to get out on the water and to have some fun. It can be peaceful and meditative or can be exhilarating, depending on your mood.

STAND UP PADDLING

If you haven’t already tried stand up paddle boarding (SUP to those in the know) then you’re missing out. Work those abs and have a cardiovascular workout while having fun!

VOLLEYBALL

Have some fun with your friends, and challenge them for a game of beach volleyball!
