WATERSKI
ONE OF THE BEST CABLE WATERSKIING EXPERIENCES IN THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE!

Prepare for a thrilling holiday. We have various exciting options available such as wakeboarding, kneeboarding and waterskiing.

Blue Rock’s Cable Waterski has an environmentally friendly ski-cable on the water, with 5 towers and an over-head pulling system that generally runs at 30km per hour.

The overhead cable system was designed and installed by Rixen Cableways from Germany. It can take up to 10 kneeboarders/waterskiers/wakeboarders at the same time.

Cable Water Skiing is a unique way to ski without the use of a motorboat yet with the same feeling and experience. While the boat produces waves that you would use for height when doing tricks, cable riders need to use the tension of the rope when trying out tricks.

It is a strict requirement that you must be able to swim though, and that a lifejacket must be worn at all times.

OBSTACLE PARK

Blue Rock has one of the largest obstacle courses in the world! It consists of kickers, sliders, rooftops, fun box and many more to enhance your experience.

The latest and newest obstacles, imported from Germany, have been setup for you to show off your stunts and moves. Helmets must be worn at all times when attempting any of these obstacles.

WAKEBOARDING

This is the most difficult out of all three disciplines but also the most fun and popular. If you can kitesurf, sandboard, snowboard or even skateboard, you will master this quicker than others as you are used to standing sideways on a board.

WATERSKIING

With waterskiing, you have your feet strapped in two separate skis, or you can try both feet on a single slalom ski. It is slightly more difficult than kneeboarding, but once you’re up and running, its lots of fun!

KNEEBOARDING

Kneeboarding is recommended to everyone as it is a great way to get to know how the cable pulls you around the 5 towers. Particularly loved by children because it is the easiest from all disciplines.

BAREFOOT/SLALOM

The system can also increase its running speed so that you may ski barefoot or slalom on our cable. Bookings need to be made in advance for this as the cable generally runs at about 30km/h to accommodate the most popular disciplines.

KITESURFERS

The cable has proven to be an excellent training spot for kiters. For beginners its perfect to train their board skills without being challenged by the wind, and for advanced riders it gives them the opportunity to ride when there is no wind!

EQUIPMENT RENTAL

You are welcome to bring your own equipment or hire it from Blue Rock’s shop. We offer kneeboards, skis, wakeboards, mono-skis, slalom skis and discs, as well as long and short wetsuits.
